Greetings from Executive Director

As a District of Columbia native with over ten years of experience in human services, I am both honored and humbled by the opportunity to lead United Cerebral Palsy of Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.

UCP’s longevity and success as a vital resource to one of the region’s most vulnerable adult populations comes as the result of decades of hard work, an unwavering commitment to excellence and futuristic vision.

I am unusually fortunate in having inherited an organization that has a distinguished history and strong ties to both the D.C business and human service sectors.  To the extent that I am successful in making UCP “state of the art” with respect to treatment and habilitation modalities, assistive technologies, related services, supported employment, case management and resource referral, UCP will remain a very good organization.

In today’s competitive market, just being good isn’t good enough. In my effort to make our good organization great, I hope to assemble the most compassionate and highly trained cadre of employees in the Washington D.C. human service community and to expand our service delivery model to include children as well as adults. I am also excited about UCP’s reinvigorated relationship with the national organization and am confident this shall be an invaluable source of information and support.
